We have made a shortlist of five things that Liverpool must do to ensure the title comes back to Anfield at the end of the season:
Keep on winning
Liverpool will be hoping to maintain their 100% record in the Premier League and their formidable home form which sees them currently on a club record 14-game winning streak at Anfield.
Confidence is high on Merseyside and after beating Leicester with a last-minute penalty kick last time out, it was the perfect tonic to take them into the international break before their next match against Manchester United.
Despite already beating Arsenal and Chelsea it is their upcoming fixtures which will undoubtedly shape their season.
In the next six Premier League games Liverpool face three of the top six with Manchester United at Old Trafford next, before hosting Tottenham at Anfield on 27th October and Manchester City in November with matches against Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Brighton to overcome.
The chance of Liverpool maintaining their 100% record is unlikely but if they can remain unbeaten then it is surely a bonus with each game now one step closer to achieving their dream.
Last season, Liverpool never dropped points against a bottom-half side and if they can continue this winning mentality, who knows where it will take them.
Don’t lose to Man City
Sounds simple doesn't it? but the Premier League is all about fine margins. One point was what separated Liverpool from glory as the title race went down to the wire last season.

The clubs then meet at the Etihad Stadium on April 4th with only seven Premier League matches remaining.
Avoid injuries
Liverpool have been relatively lucky with major injuries over the past couple of seasons with their star players often completing gruelling fixture schedules and coming through unscathed. The likes of Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Virgil Van Dijk have all spent limited time in the treatment room – a credit to the club medical staff and conditioning coaches.
Liverpool will need them to remain fit to give them the best chance of success this season, especially with the club competing in four different competitions. Rotation will be vital.
They have coped remarkably well with the injury to goalkeeper Alisson Becker with Adrian having to fill the void left by the Brazilian to maintain their 100% record. Alisson is close to returning to full fitness which is a timely boost given their upcoming fixture schedule.
Invest in January
"You should never do transfers because other clubs are doing transfers.” These were the words of Jurgen Klopp at the start of the season when speaking with Sky Sports.
Liverpool will need to reassess in the new year and if they remain in the title hunt they can’t afford to take any chances and will need all members of their squad to call upon if they are to succeed.
Liverpool spent a measly £1.71m in the summer on Sepp van den Berg with Adrian and Harvey Elliott both arriving on free transfers. There is no doubt that money is there if Liverpool need it and the right player is available.
Many of their key players have not had a break since last season with international duties taking up most of their summer break.
The level of fitness demanded by Klopp and his staff to play so effectively requires rest and the high intensity makes the chance of injuries all but greater.
Fringe players like Divock Origi, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Adrian have all received their fair share of minutes this season with others like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri sure to get their opportunities over the course of the season.
Injury to Nathaniel Clyne and allowing Alberto Moreno to depart has left Liverpool light in the full-back areas with the responsibility firmly on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson to remain fit and stay on top form. James Milner and Joe Gomez are two current players capable of filling the void if one was to get injured, but surely a dip into the January market cannot be overlooked.
Further forward, Liverpool are heavily reliant on their potent front three of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. If one of those three get injured it could leave Liverpool short and with far less fluidity.
One high-profile signing could be enough to give them a strong boost in their upcoming title battle.
